"GarageGym is just that, a 2 car garage with weights, soft floor, a bench, squat rack an air bike and other gym items. It is a pleasant environment and a nicely fitted out space designed for purpose.
Rodney is very calm as a coach and has a good system for planning workouts. During sessions he provides clear instruction for proper form and method for each exercise. He is attentive to any injury issues and evaluates weight and repetition capability based on your ability and comfort. He keeps an ongoing record of your work which he can use to assess your progress.
Workouts always start with a warm up and some stretches and an overview of the plan for the day. He is careful to explain how to be safe in his gym.
I think his philosophy is about providing motivation and instruction so that you can keep up with the workout plan once you feel confident and comfortable with lifting by yourself. He's about building workouts into your personal schedule and making that a part of your regular routine. As he advertises... "Fitness For Life" and why wouldn't you just exercise with weights for 3 hours a week?
